My overall vision in my photography is to always try something new and never stick to the norms. As a result, for my concentration, I chose something I knew would make me uncomfortable: breaking the law and teen rebellion. When I began photography, I found an old camera of my grandmothers; I fell in love with capturing occasions - every single tiny detail of them. I aspire to send a message to my audience that is always a “wow” when they see one of my photos and seek an alternative perspective. Many photographers have influenced my techniques and style of photos. Kelia Anne MacCluskey taught me a balance of colors, while Harold Feinstein impacted how I look at the fine details of macro photography. Although I have not always had a well-balanced photo I try my best to make sure the subject matter captures my audience attention. Night time and the use of dark lighting is one of my favorite methods in which to capture a moment; it creates a feeling of mystery and highlights my subject. My most prominent compositions include rule of thirds, contrast, macro to micro perspectives, and movement. Photography for me has been my escape and I aim to remove my viewers from their reality. My goal in the future is to remind myself and my audience to look beyond one’s comfort zone and find beauty in other details.
